The clearest traces of Jewish life are the cemeteries and their gravestone inscriptions: irreplaceable sources for genealogy.

Ältester jüdischer Friedhof der Schweiz: 1750 erhielten die Juden des Surbtals die Erlaubnis zum Bodenerwerb, zuvor wurde auf der Rheininsel «Judenäule» bei Koblenz bestattet. Gut 2'700 Gräber, Bestattungen bis heute; seit 1963 unter kantonalem Denkmalschutz; zwei Eingänge auf Endinger und Lengnauer Seite.

Membership includes receiving the yearbook. Unfortunately we have been unable to produce it since 2025 for lack of staff. For one person the work takes about half a year. The annual membership fee has therefore been reduced substantially. We would be glad if people came forward to help produce the yearbook. With several people the effort is considerably smaller. We continue, as before, to preserve and support Jewish family research and Jewish history as a whole. Please contact us at any time if you have questions.
