Swiss Society for Jewish Genealogy

The Swiss Organization for Jewish Genealogy offers it's members various services:


  • Among them are counseling for beginners researching their ancestors.
  • For this purpose we publish a quarterly Bulletin called „MAAJAN – Die Quelle“, where every member can pose questions free of charge. 
  • The Genealogical Library of the SSJG is open to the public as part of the ICZ Library.
  • Our Archive is at present integrate in the City Archives of Zurich under Archive catalog- Zurich City Archives VII. 489 Swiss Association for Jewish Genealogy.
  • Our Website enables every member to get in contact with all other members, with the Board and the Editors of the Maajan.
  • Direct links to other Jewish and non-jewish pages that concern themselves with genealogy are available through the SSJG Website, as well as links to Jewish Congregations in Switzerland and abroad as well as Jewish Cemeteries (instructions on how to get there, etc.) B
